Our environmental work
Holmbergs carry out extensive environmental and quality work and our goal is to become climate neutral within the near future. Through our environmental policy and our mission statement we strive to make our production more efficient and less harmful on the environment. We hope our work can serve as an example for other companies in the business.
ISO
Since January 2003 all departments of the company are certified according to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.
Nordic Ecolabel
Holmbergs holds a license for producing printed matter carrying the Nordic Ecolabel (Svanen). In order for our customers to make eco-friendly choices we put the Nordic Ecolabel on products for free.
Climate compensation
As a measure to becoming climate neutral we offer our customers to climate compensate their printed matter for free. This means that the total amount of carbon dioxide emissions generated during a production is compensated in projects that counteract the greenhouse effect on our planet.
Green electricity
Holmbergs has chosen to exclusively use electricity from renewable hydroelectric power. 100 percent of the electricity we use in the company comes from our rivers and streams. By making this choice we take an important step towards becoming climate neutral.
FSC
We are also certified according to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) which is an independent, international organisation that promotes environmental friendly and responsible management of the world's forests.
